Safedem would like to thank those evacuated from their homes for their co-operation. The whole operation was a huge success resulting in residents being out of their homes for just a little over 3 hours. Evacuated residents were in good spirits at the Evacuation Centre and most stayed on and enjoyed watching the three buildings tumble to the ground.
To facilitate the demolition on Sunday 25th September 2011, we will be re-locating our Demolition Information Centre. Thanks to those who visited us and we hope the information provided was helpful.
Please have a look at this leaflet that provides lots of information about the demolition including information about roads that will be closed and parking restrictions.
The Exclusion Zone for the blowdown has also been agreed and a plan showing the extent of this blowdown can be accessed by clicking on the link below. People living within this exclusion zone will need to be evacuated on Sunday 25th September. The Safedem Community Liaison Teams will be visiting residents in the exclusion zone to provide information and assistance about the evacuation.

Why don’t you pop into our Demolition Information Centre at the corner of Sighthill Wynd and Broomhouse Road. We are open between 10am and 4pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Our Community Liaison Team will be there to discuss the demolition and to answer any questions you may have.
