Safedem cannot start any demolition works before setting up the site facilities. The site will be set up in two phases.
The first phase will focus on Glenalmond and Weir Courts. A boundary fence is erected to enclose the site. For safety reasons Sighthill Wynd will also be closed to allow access for site traffic. A new footpath will be formed along Sighthill Wynd to join existing footpaths.
The car park between Weir Court and Hermiston Court will remain open until the second phase of the demolition is ready to start. The second phase will enclose Hermiston Court and the car park into the demolition site. This is likely to happen around June 2011.
Welfare facilities must be provided for our staff and all safety equipment in place ready for use.
